In Mrs. Buckner’s 7th-grade English Language Acquisition (or ELA) classes, students have been writing descriptive essays on multi-layered foods, from tacos to cheesecake to dozens of more delectable delicacies! Students levered out a myriad of unique works in just a few weeks, inserting their “Juicy Color Words” into their writing, designing exuberayting
art pieces to animate their paragraphs, and a diverse plethora of other variating methods to create an engrossing essay about their selected foods!
In an effort to reach the project criteria, Mrs. Buckner’s students observed images of their food to obtain a realistic idea of how their food looks and how to properly design their food art, inserted all five human senses into their paragraphs to display a vivid image of their food to their readers, focused on and reviewed their spelling and punctuation as they edited to correct their works, ensured that they added transition words to the beginning of each of their sentences, and plenty of other methods to truly enhance their writing!
